Clinically Rich Intensive Teacher Institute

The goal of Clarkson’s Clinically Rich Intensive Teacher Institute grant is to increase the number of certified ESOL teachers in NYS. The CR-ITI grant provides scholarship ($4500) to candidates in the MAT-ESOL and the Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) who commit to working in NYS schools. This New York State Education Department funded grant seeks to build capacity for teaching English learners in NYS schools.

Who is Eligible?

All applicants to the Clarkson TESOL MAT and CAS programs willing to commit to two years of teaching in NYS schools are eligible for this grant.

Your Commitment:

  • Pursue and complete Clarkson’s Master of Arts in Teaching or Certificate of Advanced Study TESOL program.
  • Become NYS certified to teach ESOL.
  • Spend two years teaching New York state.
