Local Environmental Lawmaking: How to Protect Raquette River Now!
Blake Lavia and Tzintzun Aguilar-Izzo from Talking Rivers will give an interactive workshop about local lawmaking in New York State, and the how Potsdam can adopt a local law to protect the rights of Raquette River. At a time with environmental regulations are being stripped away at the federal level, there is a need for local municipalities to step up and protect the rivers and the communities they sustain.
Ube Sweet Treat Bake Sale
SASE will be selling purple-themed ube cookies (an Asian inspired flavor). This is also to recognize and promote the Relay for Life event that Clarkson's Colleges Against Cancer organization is hosting (hence the purple theme). Alcohol/Substance Info Sessions
Fraternity and Sororities in Clarkson IFC and Panhellenic Association will be scheduled for hour long blocks to give presentations on alcohol safety, alcohol abuse, and substance abuse. These presentations will be put together by individual houses and verified for accuracy by SHAC or another department. The goal is to raise awareness around campus.
