Biography

Brittany DiSalvo, OTD, OTR/L is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at Clarkson University with over 10 years of clinical experience working in multiple clinical settings. Most of DiSalvo’s clinical practice is grounded with the older adult population with the first half of her career spent in skilled nursing facilities, including two travel therapy contracts that brought her to Texas and the southern tier of New York. DiSalvo completed her doctorate degree from Chatham University in 2020 with her research focused on exploring effective stress management strategies for first year occupational therapy students. In addition to her academic work, DiSalvo continues her clinical practice in the local community in an inpatient hospital and outpatient setting. DiSalvo recently obtained her Vestibular Rehabilitation & Concussion certification in 2022 through the American Institute of Balance allowing her to offer services to a wider range of individuals among the lifespan. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
