Live off campus? No car or just like to ride?
Investing in a bike might not be sensible for you! Reconditioned bikes are available from Campus Safety & Security and may be checked out for the duration of one semester.
The Knight Rider Bicycle Program is the newest program from Campus Safety & Security, the Institute for a Sustainable Environment’s Sustainability Fund & the Graduate Student Association starting in the spring (March) 2014. We currently have a fleet of 10 mountain and hybrid style bikes available.
What a mere $20 fee gets you:
• A ready-to-ride mountain or hybrid bike
• All bikes come equipped with fenders (Depending on bike type) and a cable lock w/ key.
• You’ll also be provided a helmet if you desire one.
• Free advice, support, and basic adjustments by an experienced mechanic, just contact the Graduate Student Association at firstname.lastname@example.org.
That's just $5 a month – less than the price of two gallons of gas! (The getting in shape and having fun part is free).
