Teaching Interests
Dr. Zeigler has been teaching at Clarkson since January 2003. With a diverse clinical and administrative background, she teaches in the areas of leadership, practice management, and is the course coordinator for the course physical therapy for multiple system disorders which integrates many of her clinical practice areas such as geriatrics and hospice care. Students most often comment that Dr. Zeigler’s teaching is organized, clear, clinically applicable and inspiring as she demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for all of the content she teaches as well as for the profession of physical therapy.
Research Interests
Dr. Zeigler’s research interests are targeted primarily in the areas of her teaching and clinical practice. Passions in the administrative realm have focused on professionalism, autonomy for physical therapists, leadership and practice management. In the clinical area, she has focused her research on preventing falls and spinal fractures in the elderly population. These have been exciting collaborations between the physical therapy and mechanical engineering departments, one of the greatest assets of research at Clarkson.
