Biography

A graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, Charleston SC where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.   He subsequently attended and received his MBA from the University of New Haven, New Haven CT.   Jon also did some additional studies supplementing his career at Cornell University, New York in Labor Relations.   

After graduating from The Citadel, Jon served in the US Military as a unit commander in the United States Air Force serving overseas.  After serving four years on active duty, Jon then took a reserve commission and served an additional 18 years in the United States Air Force Reserves and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  

Jon brings to his teachings 25+ years of experience in key human resources leadership positions in several multinational, complex corporations and organizations including:  Norden Systems, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Sikorsky Helicopter, OTIS Elevator, Johnson Controls, Honeywell and Amazon. While at Honeywell, Jon was Director of Human Resources (HR) for both North and South America Fire Safety Business, Northford CT.  While at Amazon Jon supported and led Human Resources teams at several robotics distribution centers in New Jersey.  Each distribution occupied over 3 million square feet with productivity targets of shipping 1 million packages a day.  His international experience includes assignments in Greece, Japan, Ukraine, Singapore, Canada and Southern and Northern Latin America.  

In 2019 Jon successfully launched his own recruiting and talent solutions business based out of Hartford CT expanding on his 20+ years in talent acquisition.  In March 2020, his team won the coveted five star earned margin award after six months in business.  Today Jon supports multiple clients, manufactures and distribution facilities and has employed hundreds of employees, all who are making a difference.   

His hobbies include bicycling, hiking, sailing, gardening and spending time with his family.
