Biography

April L. Grant returns to Clarkson University as a 30-year fundraising veteran most recently from the Rochester Regional Health Foundation where she served as Vice President of Operations. There she led a 15-person team setting new benchmarks for philanthropy and donor engagement success, grant portfolio growth, and long-range strategic planning.

Prior to her work in the health sector, April spent 20 years at Clarkson, where she served in several fundraising roles. In her most recent post at Clarkson, April served as Director of Donor Relations, where she led and managed strategic plans and operations for donor relations, fund administration, and development events.

April is also a 2020 recipient of Clarkson’s Golden Knight Award, the University’s highest honor for alumni achievement. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she has been an active community leader, serving on the boards of GardenShare and the Frederic Remington Art Museum Foundation.

April’s proven ability to successfully lead fundraising teams and her vast institutional knowledge of Clarkson and its alumni network make her an ideal candidate for guiding Clarkson in growing our alumni engagement and fundraising portfolio.

She graduated from Clarkson in 1995 with a degree in business administration and received her master’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
