Where members of car club can collectively meet and discuss upcoming events, interact, and have budget deliberations.
The Civil Engineering-related SPEED teams (Steel Bridge, Timber Bridge, Concrete Canoe, CEM), along with the American Society of Civil Engineers, will be hosting a joint information event to allow first-year students to learn what the SPEED teams and ASCE do to increase engagement from first-year students, particularly those in the civil and environmental engineering majors.
Join us to learn about our operations, expectations, and training. Attendance at both days is required before representing CUEMS at campus standbys or serving on duty crews.
For all skill level! Have fun and work up a sweat learning practical methods to defend yourself. We will be working on basic form and general martial arts, as well as self defense techniques for a variety of situations. This includes learning how to fall, do breakaway techniques, strike, throw, and do takedowns. Sparring too for more experienced and willing people with protective gear. Any art is welcome!
This will be B2B's Welcome Back GBM, which will include icebreakers and would-you-rather games for members to get to know each other
