Confirm Your Spot
A $500 deposit is required to secure your spot for the year. The deposit is credited toward the semester's tuition. We understand that this is an important decision — if you need additional time, please contact your transfer advisor. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
Submit Your Final Transcripts
To complete your admission application and finalize your financial aid, we need copies of your official transcripts for all colleges or universities attended to date. If there are delays, please notify your transfer advisor, so we can follow up.
Complete Financial Aid
Review your financial aid package to make sure you understand your award. Feel free to contact your transfer advisor with any questions. To make the process as smooth as possible, we list all required forms in your CU account under "To-Do Items." Make sure to check back often, in case we require any additional forms.
Start the Credit Transfer Process
The number of credits you are able to transfer will depend on a number of factors. If you are coming from an institution with a 2+2 or 3+2 articulation agreement with Clarkson University, some of your credits may be automatically approved, provided your transcripts show proper course selection.
If a transfer agreement does not exist with your college, be assured that we will work with you to maximize how your previously earned coursework applies toward a bachelor's degree from Clarkson.
Choose Housing and Dining Plans
Most undergraduate students live on campus throughout their entire college experience. As a transfer student, you are guaranteed on-campus housing, but you also have the option to live off campus. Our housing choices include residence halls, suites and apartments, and you can additionally opt to be part of a Living-Learning Community. For dining, we offer six campus meal plans that can be used in our campus dining locations.
Attend a Transfer Student Event
Celebrate your new beginning by attending one of our transfer student events. At Accepted Students Day, you can meet other incoming classmates and have all your questions answered about life at Clarkson. You can also schedule a personalized visit or sign up for a virtual event.
Register for Orientation
Orientation and Move-In Weekend are held each year in late August. Transfer students get their own dedicated move-in day, filled with icebreakers and other activities to meet new friends. Orientation also includes events like the Student Resource Fair, the CUSA Carnival and the Convocation to welcome you to our community.
Ready, Set, Register!
Before classes begin, your fall schedule will be determined by factors like your major of study, admission to special programs and any transfer credit awarded. Learn more about how we'll put together your first semester of coursework at Clarkson.

We're Affordable
We know that the first step in achieving a Clarkson education starts with being able to afford a Clarkson education. Every year, more than 90 percent of Clarkson students get some kind of financial assistance. We help make that happen with grants, scholarships, work-study jobs, loans and other aid. (If you're a graduate student, the department to which you're applying will determine your eligibility for merit-based scholarships and grants.)
Alumni Connections
Want to get a first-hand perspective on the value of a Clarkson education? Ask an alum — with more than 44,000, they're easy to find. An unusually high percentage of them have climbed to the tops of their fields, too: one in five is already a CEO, senior executive or the owner of a company. That's why The Princeton Review ranked us on its "Top 20 Best Alumni Networks" list.
Launch Your Career
A Clarkson education may speak for itself, but our Career Center can help you raise the volume. Tap into our vast network of industry partners to find an internship or job. We'll help you refine your résumé, so it highlights your experiences and lets employers know your goals, and hone your interview skills, so you shine in person. And, you can turn to us at any point in your career, long after you graduate.
One of the Best Value Colleges
Here's the bottom line: the average early career salary (0-5 years out) for Clarkson graduates according to Payscale is $70,700. If that number made you sit up, you're not alone. The Princeton Review weighed that, as well as data from student debt, overall cost and financial aid, and ranked us as one of the nation's Best Value Colleges. We're used to accolades like that; Forbes, Payscale, Washington Monthly and Business Insider, to name a few, ranked us similarly.
