Final Clarkson University Science Cafés to be Held on April 23 with “Brains, Keynes and Airplanes: how complex systems touch every part of our lives”

April 14, 2025

Throughout much of history, science has methodically progressed by breaking down the systems under study into their most basic parts and understanding the behavior of those parts. However these basic pieces may have a complex set of interactions, and an understanding of the interaction structure itself is lost in this type of analysis.

Complex systems science has emerged as a key field in the study of such interactions, whether they be physical, biological or even social interactions. Join Jeremie Fish, Research Assistant Professor Electrical and Computer Engineering Clarkson University, in an exploration of the complex systems that guide the behavior of brains, supply chains, and transportation on April 23 at 7:15 p.m.

Science Cafés are held in Potsdam in the Potsdam Civic Center Community Room at 2 Park Street at 7:15 p.m.
