Clarkson University Honors Three with Stub Baker '27 Service Award
Sarah Cioffi MAT’90 of Clifton Park, N.Y., Lisa M. Jeffers ‘03, MS’21 of East Greenbush, N.Y., and Jeanne M. Lally of St. Petersburg, Fla., have received the Stub Baker 1927 Service Award from Clarkson University.
This award gives recognition of special services by alumni and non-alumni who demonstrate exemplary service and commitment to Clarkson and the objectives of its Alumni Association.
Sarah Cioffi received her bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont in 1989 and a master of arts in teaching from Union Graduate College (now Clarkson University) in 1990. Cioffi is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at Russell Sage College.
Since 2017, she has been the K-12 administrator for English as a New Language and World Languages at the largest district in the Capital Region, Shenendehowa. Cioffi serves as the chair of both the Capital Area Language Leaders Association and the Capital Region ENL Roundtable. She is a member of the New York State English Language Learner Leadership Council, NYS World Language Leadership Council and New York State Seal of Biliteracy Task Force.
Cioffi plays a key role in Clarkson’s Master of Arts in Teaching program. She has mentored graduate teacher candidates and sits on the Teacher Performance Assessment Committee for the program. She is also a Legion donor in Clarkson’s Good Knights Guild.
Cioffi resides in Clifton Park, N.Y.
Lisa M. (Dietrich) Jeffers received her bachelor of science in biology and master of science in engineering management from Clarkson. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Jeffers has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years, holding a variety of roles from early discovery research to maintenance of commercial products. She currently works for Emergent BioSolutions as a regulatory affairs senior manager, leading global regulatory activities for the ACAM2000 smallpox vaccine program.
She has been active with the Clarkson Alumni Association since graduating in 2003 and has held various leadership roles on the Alumni Leadership Board, currently serving as executive vice president. She has also been a member of the School of Arts & Sciences and Engineering & Management leadership councils. Jeffers is a Legion, Loyal and Legacy donor in Clarkson’s Good Knights Guild.
Jeffers and her husband, Bill Jeffers ’01, reside in East Greenbush, N.Y., and are the proud parents of two girls.
Jeanne M. Lally is a retired K-12 school counselor educator who worked for over 30 years with students across all grade levels on character education, self-awareness, academic and career planning and life transition skills.
Since retiring, her philanthropic efforts include serving on the Florida Gulf Coast Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association and working on educational programming for K-12 students at St. Petersburg’s Mahaffey Theater. She also serves on the board of directors of her family-owned business, SimuTech Group Inc., in Rochester, N.Y.
She and her husband, Clarkson Trustee Kenneth Lally ‘79, are lead donors in supporting the renovation and expansion of Clarkson’s Cora and Bayard Clarkson Science Center. They contributed to the renovation of Woodstock Lodge and also provide many scholarships for undergraduates each year.
Lally is committed to Clarkson and growing its reputation for excellence. She is a Legion, Loyal, Leadership, Legacy and Legend donor in Clarkson’s Good Knights Guild.
The Lallys reside in St. Petersburg, Fla.
