“I am truly honored and unbelievably thankful to be one of this year's recipients of the Dr. Feitelberg Physical Therapy Fellowship Award,” Kelly said. “In honor of him, these funds will go towards my upcoming clinical rotations, where I will continue to strive to be culturally inclusive in the healthcare field and hope to leave the same amazing impression he did on all the people he cared for. I would like to thank the DPT faculty, my classmates and my family for all of their support during my time in graduate school here at Clarkson.”

“Grateful beyond words to have been awarded the Samuel B. Feitelberg Physical Therapy Fellowship! This incredible opportunity not only encourages my commitment to the field but also emphasizes the importance of fostering cultural diversity and inclusivity in physical therapy,” Li said. “Excited about opportunities to engage in experiential learning, deepening my understanding of diverse perspectives, and enhancing my ability to make a meaningful impact in the profession. Thank you to the selection committee and everyone who has supported me on this incredible journey. In honor of Dr. Feitelberg, this fund will go towards participating in events and continuing education opportunities focused on enhancing my social responsibility as a future clinician.”

“We are grateful to Professor Emeritus Samuel B. Feitelberg for his generous contribution, supporting our students' professional growth and development during their final clinical education experiences,” said Jaime Bicknell, Director of Clinical Education, and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Department. “Both of this year's recipients are the perfect candidates to receive this award. They both greatly demonstrate the core values of a physical therapist and will make great contributions to the field in the realm of cultural diversity.

The Feitelberg Physical Therapy Endowed Fellowship was established by the first chair of the Clarkson University Physical Therapy program, Professor Emeritus Samuel B. Feitelberg, who has a passion for promoting physical therapists to be culturally proficient in their professional and personal lives. The fellowship is awarded to Clarkson University Doctor of Physical Therapy students in good standing to assist students to develop cultural proficiency through a variety of activities particularly clinical internships.
