The Adirondack Semester is offered in fall semesters and students from all colleges and universities are invited to apply. The program is designed to work for nearly every major on campus. ADK students have majored it:
- Environmental Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Environmental Science & Policy
- Political Science
- Computer Science
- Chemical engineering
- Pre-Physical Therapy
- Engineering and Management
- Business Studies
Students majoring in the sciences, business/entrepreneurship, engineering and liberal arts and humanities are encouraged to apply. Students must be in good academic standing with their home department and have preferably completed at least one course in biology and/or chemistry.
Applications are usually competitive (though occasionally we are able to accept most everyone, so always apply!). Acceptance is determined by a committee and based upon information in your application, recommendations, your essay, seniority, fit, disciplinary diversity, background, GPA, and extra-curriculars.
