Biography

Brian T. Grant currently serves Clarkson as the Vice President of Student Affairs. Previously, he served as Vice President for Enrollment & Student Advancement. He is charged with engaging the entire Clarkson community to optimize the synergies between areas and continue to move student engagement toward best in class. He has a great breadth of experience in admissions, student engagement, financial management and service excellence. 

Grant previously served as the Dean of Admission from 2009 to 2016. A 22-year veteran of undergraduate recruiting, Grant has had the unique opportunity to play a leadership role in building a successful admission program that increased applications 90% in the freshman, transfer and international student admission programs in six years.

Grant joined Clarkson in 1994 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Assistant Director of Admission and Alumni Admission Coordinator, Director of Enrollment Operations and Director of Admission.  At each step in his career Grant has demonstrated the ability to think analytically while being flexible considering admission market demands. He graduated from Clarkson in 1993 with a degree in interdisciplinary engineering & management and received his master’s degree in instructional technology from SUNY Potsdam in 2003.
