Personal and Professional Development Program
The Personal and Professional Development Program was designed to enrich our students' overall experience in addition to their academic experience. We offer several professional development workshops on resume and cover letter writing, preparing for interviews and career fairs, and writing effective personal statements. In addition, we also focus on effective study skill habits, time and stress management, career and major exploration and dining etiquette. We believe that by enriching our students' mind, body and soul, they will continue to grow as contributing members of the community, society and in their future careers.
At The Clarkson School, we understand that getting your feet wet and building your resume are important in order to expand your options in the future. That’s why we offer you everything a typical Clarkson student can do, and then some.
Our fast-track Honors program enables The Clarkson School students who have excelled during their first semester to enter the highly selective Honors program for the spring semester if they intend to continue their education at Clarkson.
Or, if you’re interested in research, you can participate in our research program during the summer after your year in The Clarkson School, regardless of whether you’re staying at Clarkson for your sophomore year. The Clarkson School staff members will help you find a faculty mentor in your area of interest to work with and The Clarkson School will cover your housing expenses, so there is no cost to you apart from food and other personal expenses.
And, to add to your well-rounded resume, our Personal and Professional Development Program gives you the opportunity to participate in activities that strengthen your leadership skills while allowing you to perform service in the community, explore the arts and academic programs, and prepare for your future.
