Special Circumstances Appeal

The Financial Aid Office has the authority to make professional judgments and adjustments to your eligibility within specific guidelines from US Department of Education rules and regulations.

If you have experienced a change in circumstances since the time that
you filed your FAFSA, you may submit an appeal.  Changes in circumstances usually refer to events that occur outside of your control, such as personal or family illness, unexpected medical bills, the death of an immediate family member or the loss of employment or other income.

Your appeal will be reviewed carefully, and if approved, adjustments will be made to your financial aid award package based on the availability of funds.

Summer Financial Aid

Financial aid for summer school is available. Students interested in receiving aid for the summer must complete their FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. Students who elect to receive financial aid in the summer term may have limited funding in future terms. We advise you to meet with your SAS representative to discuss potential impacts to your financial aid.
