Dr. Martin was adjunct faculty prior to taking a full time teaching position in Clarkson University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2013. Her primary teaching area is neuromuscular physical therapy and she coordinates the neuromuscular semester. Other teaching roles include motor learning, multiple systems management, and professional foundations.

Dr. Martin’s research projects are primary focused on Parkinson’s disease and education. Specifically, she is currently looking into gait and balance predictors in individuals with Parkinson’s disease, attributes of effective clinical educators, and assessment tools to evaluate the upper extremity following stroke.
