Ken comes to Clarkson from Boise State University, where he had been since 2015 as the Associate Vice President of Budget and Planning. Prior to that, he was the Senior Director/Chief Budget Officer for Northern Kentucky University. Before joining Northern Kentucky, Ken served as the Business Systems and Financial Planning Manager for Cornell University from 2004-2007, and as the District Vice President and Implementation Manager for Ceridian (1998-2004), a leading global provider of human resources, payroll, benefits, and payment solutions. Ken is well versed in the intricacies of the higher education financial environment as well as the national marketplace for colleges and universities.
Ken holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Xavier University and two Master's Degrees; an M.A from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Cornell University. Ken’s background includes substantial experience with higher education financial strategy and budgeting, a comprehensive understanding of the operations for a large research university, and substantial experience working with state government, higher education boards, as well as private sector experience. Ken serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho and has been an active member of the Western Association of College and University Business Officers. He currently serves on the board for the Boise Schools Foundation as well.
Ken and his wife Deanna have three children, Alexandria, Jackson, and Everett. Ken and his family enjoy skiing, hiking, and spending time with friends.
