Clarkson University Professor Suresh Dhaniyala, the Bayard D. Clarkson Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, visited China in May to lecture at three universities about air quality monitoring technologies.
Dhaniyala’s visit was sponsored by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R. China, as part of their Program of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities.
Dhaniyala was invited by Prof. Huadong Yang, of the Mechanical Engineering Department, North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Baoding, China. Yang was a visiting scholar for one year in Dhaniyala’s Clarkson laboratory in 2015.
During the trip, Dhaniyala presented several seminars on global air quality and novel monitoring technologies at NCEPU, Tsinghua University, and the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Yanqi campus, Beijing). The seminars were attended by a total of more than 300 students and faculty.
