Clarkson University’s Sandra Zuhlsdorf has received the Outstanding Advisor Award for 2022.
Zuhlsdorf was chosen for the honor by students via advisor evaluation results from the previous fall and spring semesters.
Outstanding faculty advisors of undergraduate students have been recognized with the Outstanding Advisor Award since 1979.
Zuhlsdorf came to Clarkson in 1998. She is the Director of the Reh School of Business Student Support Services. The main focus of her job is to ensure juniors and seniors meet their educational and career goals. She has been advising in the Reh School for the past 20 years. She also assists with student recruitment, professional development and international opportunities. One of her favorite parts of her job is supporting students while they are in college and then watching them excel in their careers.
She herself is an alumni of Clarkson’s MBA program, and completed a bachelor's degree in Economics from SUNY Potsdam. Her background in business has given her a strong insight into the curriculum that her students complete.
Zuhlsdorf has been a past recipient of Clarkson’s Phalanx Commendable Leadership and Service Awards and was also named Outstanding Advisor in 2006. She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business and Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Societies, and the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Fraternity.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and working on her hobby farm. She also frequently likes going on hikes with her family on mountains like Whiteface.
