Release Date
Monday May 9, 2022
micro-credentials

Students and working professionals looking to gain Strategic Project Management skills, knowledge, and experience that employers are looking for can sign up for Clarkson’s Strategic Project Management online courses starting May 9, 2022.

Micro-credentials are digital credentials that recognize earners for their verified knowledge and skills. Learners earn micro-credentials by completing short programs of study that focus on specific, high-demand skills, and that can be completed in significantly less time and at less cost than traditional university degrees and certificates.

A Strategic Project Management credential represents a working awareness of the key success factors for organizational, portfolio, program, and project management as they relate to product development within any industry or enterprise. Students will learn how to determine the most appropriate best practices to implement, as well as the key practical concepts that underpin successful management of projects throughout the enterprise via the appropriate level of governance and leadership skills.

The courses will be taught by Michael M. Bissonette (MS, MBA, PfMP), who is a highly successful engineer-turned-businessman and is considered both a thought-leader and subject matter expert in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management within several diverse industries. His work experience spans over 40 years of product development and organizational management, including executive positions in large Fortune 500 companies. He is the author of two books on the subject of “Strategic Project Management” and is an instructor at Clarkson. He is an entrepreneur (Founder of RTConfidence, Inc. – a SaaS [Software as a Services] company), developing Chrono™, the most advanced and affordable integrated IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)/SRA (Schedule Risk Analysis)/ESM (Earned Schedule Management) SaaS Tool on the market.

The micro-credential courses consist of 26.5 Professional Development Units. 13 Technical, 5 Leadership, and 8.5 Strategy.
