Then sign up to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified First Responder (CFR). You can refresh your EMT skills, too, through one of our courses.
In the Summer of 2022, an 11-week Original EMT class will begin on May 25th at Clarkson's Potsdam campus at Clarkson Hall (pending NYS DOH Approval). This course is for New York State certification only. Please submit completed applications prior to May 20th.
More EMT Basic Original and Refresher courses, on campus and off campus are being planned to be held this fall as well. Be sure to monitor this page for more information later this summer.

Payment is due when registering for the course.
Certified EMS agencies can submit for NYS reimbursement upon the student’s successful receipt of NYS EMS Certification.
Anyone interested after the application deadline but before the start of classes should email emt@clarkson.edu and if there are openings still available we may be able to get you into class.
