Compliance - Animal Subjects
Clarkson University recognizes its responsibility to ensure the humane and appropriate care and use of all live vertebrate animals used or intended for use in research, research training, experimentation, biological testing, or teaching. Therefore, the University has established and provides resources for an Animal Care and Use Program and an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) that oversees the program, facilities, policies, and procedures.
To conduct animal subjects research in which Clarkson University is a participant, follow these steps:
- Read and be familiar with the Clarkson University IACUC Handbook of Policies and Procedures (.doc 235 KB)
When familiar with Clarkson's policy, take the CITI Program Laboratory Animal Welfare Training Course - Click here for instructions. You must successfully complete this training to conduct animal research at Clarkson.
