Clarkson University seeks to promote and support an inclusive environment that values the diversity of our community, where individual talents and differences are accepted and celebrated. We are committed to advance an environment where each member is an active participant in creating and sustaining our inclusive community.
Advancement will be measured by University engagement in activities and initiatives that promote a climate of inclusion. We do this not only to improve our Clarkson Community but instill the values of diversity in our community members so that they may promote inclusive engagement in other communities to which they will belong. The Climate and Engagement Committee will partner with and support other campus organizations to advance shared priorities and visions of inclusion and diversity on campus.
The committee acts in an advisory capacity for the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan. The Committee works in sub-committees to operationalize the strategic goals.
The Climate and Engagement Committee is an inclusive group of students, staff, and faculty from across the University, selected for their willingness to actively work toward the above goals. Individuals interested in joining the committee should contact the Chief Inclusion Officer.
