Semester Programs & Events

List of Events

Resumania: Resumania is held in the weeks leading up to our Career Fair in which students can obtain help drafting and editing their resumes, seek interview tips, and get themselves prepared for the Career Fair. Students meet one-on-one with one of our career advisors.

Hit The Ground Running: Opportunity for new students in collaboration with General Electric, to gain valuable skills like creating a college ready resume, learn/practice top interview strategies, gain insight into employer best practices and workplace professionalism, career resources, as well as be paired with a GE mentor! This is entirely meant to be fun and helpful as students prepare for their career journey.

Done In A Day: Networking opportunity for students who have a specific interest in an industry and would like to learn more from one of our partnered alumni in the field. Done in a Day is held in the form of an Informational Interview between student and alum. Contact a career coach to learn more.

Career Fair: The twice-a-year event draws more than 150 employers who want to meet and network with outstanding Clarkson students from all majors, class years and graduate levels. Statistics show that more than 40 percent of our students accepting full time employment were first introduced to their employer at Career Fair.

Etiquette Dinner: Proper etiquette is essential for making a favorable impression at both lunch/dinner interviews as well as in social business situations. Employers need to trust you can represent them in social settings with customers, clients, colleagues and competitors. Our office offers this program to tell students all they need to know to make a good impression to an employer while at the dinner table!

LinkedIn Learning Lab: This workshop is offered numerous times a semester for students who are looking to enhance their LinkedIn profiles. Learn tips on how to build your network and how to reach out to connections.

Take a Student To Work Program: This program is to provide current students with the opportunity to shadow the array of career roles we have at Clarkson that they may be interested in and have not yet been exposed to in an internship, co-op or research experience setting. The program’s goal is to introduce students to the administrative/staff side of Higher Education to provide knowledge, perspective & advice from professionals already in the field they may be looking to go into.
