Thanks to the 357 participants, our first Clarkson Serves event was a HUGE success!! Seventeen locations saw 91 Clarkson alumni gathered together with families and friends working for the good of their communities! On campus and in the village of Potsdam, 227 students joined forces with alumni, faculty and staff members to plant 157 trees, remove trash and work to ready flower beds for spring planting! We could not have had the impact we did across the nation without your help. We thank you, and hope you'll join us next year on Saturday, April 19th for our second Clarkson Serves!
"I just think it's the nature of the school," said Clarkson civil engineering student Billy VanNostrand '14, "Clarkson being such a great school; it's in the kids' blood to want to give back because of the opportunities that are given at Clarkson." Billy is the vice president and captain of Clarkson University's club Football team. As a team, the football club worked together cleaning up, clearing brush and repainting a shed down by their playing field.
