Professor Brian Helenbrook

Professor Brian Helenbrook -- Chair of Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering and Paynter-Krigman Endowed Professor in Engineering Science Simulation -- has been selected by the ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering as a "reviewer of the year" for 2021. This award recognizes Helenbrook's contributions and dedication to provide quality reviews for the journal in a timely manner. 


Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student Jack DiMeo ‘23 was recently awarded the Department of Defense Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship. Read more


An adjustable-length intramedullary nail (IM nail), developed jointly by Associate Professor Laurel Kuxhaus and former Canton-Potsdam Hospital Orthopedic Surgeon Marty Clark, has received FDA 510(k) pre-market clearance. Read more.



A group of Clarkson professors, led by Prof. Michael Bazzocchi, have been awarded an NSF grant worth nearly $150,000 to design a new intelligent and adaptive firefighting exoskeleton suits for the Future of Work at the Human-Technology Frontier. Read more.
