About Our Department

Engineering and Management Classroom

Our department is different than other undergraduate business disciplines in several ways:

  • You declare yourself an E&M major when you enroll at Clarkson, since the degree requirements take four full years to complete.
  • The E&M curriculum differs from the core curriculum for other business majors, and the First-Year Experience is built upon two team-based design and entrepreneurship courses created specifically for E&M students.
  • E&M students take courses from faculty in the School of Business, the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering and the School of Arts & Sciences.

We prepare you for a wide range of career options within the rapidly changing technical and managerial aspects of any organization. It is ideal for those who desire breadth and flexibility in a career centered on leadership and technology.
