Visualizations of Political Speech Topics
The NYT has constructed a
visualization of rhetorical topics [free reg req'd] chosen by republican and democractic speakers during a recent twenty-four-hour period. The graphic is not surprising (republicans mentioned "war," "freedom," and "terrorism" frequently; democrats used "war," "jobs," and "healthcare" a lot), but one interesting point was that while democrats mentioned "bush" five times, republicans mentioned "kerry" thirty-nine times.
