If you're looking for my Curricula Vitae, take a look at my Curricula Vitae Page for all of the various formats I have it available in.
I have a blog off gnome.org, here's the link: Bryan Clark
My old blog is, clarkbw at advogato.org where I write about GNOME development and HCI related ideas.
My name is Bryan Clark, I am originally from Londonderry, New Hampshire
where I grew up and lived until 1997 when I graduated from high
school and moved on. In Sept. 1997 I started at Clarkson
University as an undergraduate majoring in Computer Science. Then
in Dec. 2001 I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Computer
Science from Clarkson and continued on here at Clarkson in the
Masters program. Right about then I was a winner in the IBM Linux
Challenge and got myself a free IBM T23 Thinkpad. That summer
I interned in IBM's
Extreme Blue program where I worked in Austin, Texas. For the summer
of 2003 I interned in Cambridge, MA for IBM Research for the CUE (
Collaborative User Experience Group). I'm a maintainer for the GNOME Usability Project where I spend a lot of my "free" time doing work I don't get paid for :-).
I've finished my applications to
graduate school for my PhD right now and I've heard back from most of them. UCI was the only positive response so far, but alas I've taken an awesome job with Red Hat so I can get paid for all that work I was just doing for free before!
In May of 2004 I finished my Master's degree here at
Clarkson, and moved to Boston to chill with the other cool GNOME Hackers!
Possible pictures with me in them...
I hate computers, they are too hard to use, so I have lots of interests outside of them, I like to bike, swim, hike, dance, kayak, rock climb, play rugby, hockey, and pretty much every other sport out there.
So Potsdam isn't exactly New York City, there are still plenty of things to do during the week and on weekends. Here's how I fill my schedule:
