Course Reserves - Faculty make available supplemental materials for the classes that they teach each semester. The library scans and creates PDF files of noncopyrighted materials and posts the files to the Course Reserves Web page. This can include the class syllabus, notes, homework assignments, and tests from the current and previous semesters. Any copyrighted materials are kept in the library at the circulation desk. The Course Reserves Web page can be searched by faculty name or course number to find out if something is on reserve and where to find it.

Interlibrary Loan
- The library is able to obtain almost anything that we do not own by either getting a photocopy of pages that are needed or borrowing the item. The time required varies according to the request and the library that owns the material. The average is one week but some items come within days and others may take longer. If an item is needed immediately, a rush can be put on it but there may be charges involved.

Renewals - Materials which have been checked out from the Clarkson library must be returned by the due date in order to avoid late fees. Journals circulate for 7 days and all other materials until the last day of classes for the semester. If the material has not been recalled, you may request a renewal to keep the material longer.

Interlibray loan materials will have varying due dates depending on the policy of the lending institution. If you need to keep the material longer than the due date, please request a renewal either by using the online form or coming to the library.

Request Classes - The library offers classes on using its resources. These range from brief introductions and tours in the libray to in depth classes which can cover several class periods. Groups, teams and individuals can be accomodated.

Off Campus Access
- The library has license agreements which control the use of resources to which we have a subscription. Access is available from any computer on campus. Off campus access is allowed through the use of a proxy server. You need to be a current faculty, staff or student of Clarkson and you will need an iNotes account.
