Minor in Biology

The Biology minor is available to all students except Biology majors. The requirements include 2 semesters (6 credits) of first-year biology to introduce the students to the main areas of the subject. In the remaining 13-14 credits, the students can select the upper level Biology courses that will best complement their major and/or their interests.

For example, Civil and Environmental Engineering majors may want to take environmental-related Biology courses, whereas students interested in pursuing careers in health may want to take health-related Biology courses. Finally, the laboratory requirement is to ensure that all Biology minors are exposed to some of the data collection techniques used in Biology.
