We do work mostly for municipalities like towns, villages, counties, and sometimes the state, although some of our clients are private businesses or landowners. I work in the water/wastewater group and we design the service infrastructure for water and sewer projects. We do projects from start to finish and we do mostly everything internally until construction, and during construction we are just the overseers. It’s a good job and I like my company and co-workers, and Syracuse is also fun too.. much different than Potsdam! |

| Macner, Ashley Location: Notes: Hi! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it back for the reunion but I would still like to share what I have done/accomplished since my 2003-2004 schoolie year. Upon completion of the Clarkson School program, I decided to finish my BS in Physics and Chemical Engineering at Clarkson. I ended up graduating with a 3.925 cumulative GPA. Throughout my undergraduate years I was presented with various research and industrial opportunities which I seized of course. For summers 2005 and 2007 I did research at Clarkson University through the McNair Scholars program and presented my research at the SURE symposium and the UB conference. In spring 2006, I took a co-op with GE in Schenectady,NY. And in summer 2006, I took an internship with ExxonMobil at their Engineering and Research facility down in Fairfax, VA. Currently, I am a Technical Engineer at the DuPont Central Research & Development facility down in Wilmington, DE. I am doing some work that centers around various parts of the cellulosic ethanol process. Finally, I have made the conscious decision to go back and pursue my graduate degree. Starting in fall 2008, I will be attending Cornell University in pursuit of my Chemical Engineering PhD. I should add that it is also an all expenses paid endeavor. I was also granted an all expenses paid package to Carnegie Mellon and the University of Maryland. I applied to Harvard as well, but I was wait listed. In closing, I sincerely believe that attending the Clarkson School has had a significant impact on where I am today along with the gracious and unselfish support that I have received from various people throughout the years. | Bazile, Dana P Location: Oklahoma Position/Employer: US Air Force/Staff Sergeant Notes: Hi all.I suppose most of you remember me when I was going through the "Philly" phase, but once I left Clarkson, I went back to being Dana again. A lot has happened since then. I attempted college again, but had no focus. By 2002 I joined the US Air Force which turned out to be an awesome decision. I've been very successful in the military, and have managed to go to school on Uncle Sam's dollar. I have one Associates in Avionics Technology, another in Physics, and I am working toward my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. I will soon be entering a program where the military pays me to just go to school and finish my degree, and I'll be commissioned as an officer upon completion. I guess I'm a little behind the power curve, but I've had some great experiences being in the service, and I wouldn't change a thing. I bought my first home this past May and I love it. I suppose my downer is that I live in Oklahoma, but I've done well here, so everything happens for a reason. Well, I hope everyone else is doing great. Feel free to drop me an email anytime! |

I transferred to Syracuse University after leaving TCS. I left SU in 1986 and enlisted in the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. I served on a submarine and aircraft carrier. I had two instructor tours at NPTU Ballston Spa, NY. During my last tour I completed by Nuclear Engineering degree at RPI (May 2000) and earned a commission. I then served on another aircraft carrier, deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. For the last six years I have served as a Naval Reactors Representative Assistant in the Department of Energy (remaining on active duty). I am married and have two children. My oldest, Gloria, is attending college in MA. |

I usually get back to Potsdam around July 4th every year, since my parents still live in there. |

Notes: I am a military spouse, married to the same guy (Jeff, from ROTC) I began dating about a week after beginning TCS. We’ve been stationed all around North America with the US Army, and I’ve held a number of positions in certified public accounting firms as well as teaching positions in public and private universities, teaching financial accounting and accounting information systems. I’ve been licensed as a CPA in TN and WA, continue to hold my worldwide license as a Certified Fraud Examiner, and have most of the portions of the certification for Certified Internal Auditor completed. This last portion is due to being sidelined the last few years having procedures done and working on physical therapy from a fall on the ice while we were stationed in Ontario, I broke a bunch of things in my core and lower back. With our son away at university and Jeff deployed, studying for another couple initials to put after my name seemed the least likely to get me into any more trouble... Well, studying and taking care of our two "rescued" dogs. I sure do miss the Great White North! |

| Newell, Jamie Location: Virginia Notes: I work for the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Overnight...the agency that supervises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I oversee the Fannie Mae mortgage portfolio business. I also founded a company called VoiceTree.net that provides families with emergency notification services during hurricanes, tornadoes,etc. My children Luke, Tony, and Georgina are 4 years, 2 year and 6 months old respectively |
