University Studies: Exploring Options
- Business
- Engineering
- Liberal arts
- Science.
At the end of two semesters, you can enroll in any major and still earn your bachelor's degree in four years.
The University Studies program ensures that you don’t need to rush into a very important decision. You will gain knowledge about different academic areas and about your own strongest interests and abilities. Plus, you will build a strong core academic foundation that will improve your perspective in any professional field. You will also take advantage of Clarkson's technology-rich environment.
During the summer, the University Studies director, who is also your academic advisor, will call you to discuss your first-semester courses. Additionally, you’ll meet individually with your academic advisor within the first two weeks of classes to talk in depth about your career and academic interests and to receive extensive personalized advising.
Presentations and events by Clarkson faculty from all four areas cover not only courses and curricula, but also career goals and campus activities. At career fairs , you can talk about professions with employers and learn what they're looking for in graduates. You can also meet Clarkson alumni, who will share their experiences and insights. In class and in extracurricular activities, you will get to know other students who will tell you about different programs and the kinds of people attracted to various fields.
