Robotics Summer Day Camp

Dates: Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12, 2013
Location: 163 CAMP Building, Clarkson University
Section 1: Students entering grades 5-8 in Fall 2013 | 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Section 2: Students entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2013| 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Join Jim Carroll, professor of electrical and computer engineering at Clarkson University and director of the Northern New York Robotics Academy, for an action-packed week of robotics!
This year, participants can experience the world of robotics while working in small teams to brainstorm a solution to a sports-inspired challenge. Each team will build, program and test their solutions using LEGO MINDSTORMS software throughout the week and the experience will culminate with teams competing with their robots in an action-packed tournament.
Campers entering grades 5-8 will utilize LEGO MINDSTORMS kits, NXT Intelligent Bricks, and LEGO NXT software. Campers entering grades 9-12 will utilize LEGO TETRIX kits, NXT Intelligent Bricks, and National Instruments LabVIEW for LEGO MINDSTORMS software.
A minimum of 15 students are needed to run each section (limited to 48 students).
