Student Projects for Engineering Experience & Design
FIRST Robotics
FIRST is a good learning experience for all; it's fun and there's something for everyone."

Mathematics and Computer Science
This project is not for the weak or ill tempered. The team of Clarkson students and area high school students have only six weeks to design and build a remotely controlled robot that competes in a sporting-like event. For those who like to lead a less intense lifestyle, there are opportunities for web design, computer animation, and public relations.
Clarkson University's FIRST Scholarship
Clarkson University is proud to offer FIRST Scholarships to graduating seniors who have participated on a FIRST Robotics team.
The recipients of Clarkson's FIRST Scholarship may enroll in any course of study at Clarkson University. It is a merit-based award, and the recipients will receive up to $6,000 per year for four year, for a total award of up to $24,000.
Along with active participation on the FIRST Robotics Team, in order to be considered for this award, applicants must have a minimum overall high school average of 85, and meet the academic requirement for admission to Clarkson University. They also must write an essay about their FIRST experience, and submit 2 letters of recommendation from high school teachers and 1 letter of recommendation from a FIRST team leader.
Last year, Clarkson University awarded 14 full and partial scholarships.
