Go Golden Knights! Join in Clarkson’s competitive tradition through 19 men's and women's varsity teams, along with numerous intramural and club sports and a wide variety of fitness classes and organized outdoor activities. More than 80 percent of Clarkson students join intramural teams competing in soccer, football, broomball, 3-on-3 basketball, 5-on-5 basketball, ice hockey, volleyball and indoor soccer. Important Dates

The following dates and deadlines apply tentatively for the 2012 Summer Research Experiences Program for Undergraduates in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at Clarkson University:

February 1: Deadline for postmark of the application in order to be considered.

Starting February 15th: Beginning of the selection process and contact by respective faculty mentors.

Starting March 22: Beginning to make financial offers to students for the selection of the 8-10 undergraduate researchers. Students will be expected to decide on the acceptance of the offer within one week.

End of April: Establishment of a REU e-mail list to foster communication among the participants.

Sunday, May 20, 2012: Participants arrive on Clarkson campus.

Monday, May 21, 2012: First day of summer research program.

TBD (end of July): Research symposium in conjunction with all Clarkson Summer Research Programs. Student participants will present their research results in form of oral or poster presentations to students and faculty. Final project report due.

Friday, July 27, 2012: Final day of summer program and farewell dinner.
