"My tounges the only muscle in my body that works harder then my heart." - Brand New

My name is Thomas Eugene Nagawiecki and I am an Environmental Science/Biology major at a small liberal arts school in Illinois known as Monmouth College. When not at school I live in the small suburb of Chicago known as Wauconda. I enjoy just about anything but fill most of my time listening to music and just hanging out with good (and sometimes not so good) people. I am an avid listener of the punk/emo/indie scene and some of my favorite bands include Brand New, and Something Corporate to name only a couple (which is very hard for me).

If I only had one word to sum up this summer it would be, amazing. I was able to meet a ton of nice, fun, andinteresting people, have a great time, and make a pretty penny. The work was interesting and challenging while at the same time their was plenty of extra time to just chillax. Then their is the location, one may be repeled by the location thinking that Clarkson is in the middle of nowhere but in fact it is in a splendid locale. It is in the middle of the amazing forests of the northeastern U.S., where summers are a comfortable temperature, and it is in easy driving distance from some great cities (Ottawa and Montreal). This REU program not only prepared me for graduate school but it provided me the opportunity to meet some great people.
