2013-2014 Meal Plan Options
Declining Balance (DB) – Dining dollars that you can spend at any of our campus dining locations. You can add on DB at any time. It rolls over from Fall to Spring semester and can be used through May graduation.
Board Meals - Meals that reset each week on Saturday mornings. Can be used to enter the dining hall for an all-you-care-to-eat meal or as a “meal equivalency” swipe at designated retail dining venues.
Block Meals – A number of meals that decline as they are used during the semester. Can be used to enter the dining hall for an all-you-care-to-eat meal or as a “meal equivalency” swipe at designated retail dining venues.
The Golden Knight
21 board meals per week and $25 in DB that can be used in any retail dining outlet on campus. This plan provides breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday morning - Friday Night and is highly recommended for incoming Freshmen.
The All Northern
200 block meals and $75 in DB that can be used at any retail dining outlet on campus. On average, this plan offers 2 meals per day 5 days per week, so it’s important to keep track of the usage. Students can find out how many meals are remaining by asking a cashier for a receipt or by visiting the Dining Office.
150 block meals (averaging 7-10 meals per week) and $225 in Declining Balance dollars that can be used at any retail dining outlet on campus.
7 board meals that reset each week during the semester (averaging 1 meal per day), 50 block meals and $275 in DB that can be used at any retail outlet.
5 meals that reset each week during the semester (averaging 1 meal per weekday), 20 block meals and $425 in Declining Balance dollars that can be used at any retail dining outlet on campus.
A semester rate of $3,056 applies for each option above.
A voluntary meal plan available to undergraduate and graduate students living in campus apartments and townhomes and to those living off campus that commute. Includes 50 block meals and $500 in DB. Meals and DB will roll-over from Fall semester to Spring semester. A rate of $932 applies and is subject to NYS sales tax. The Pioneer can be purchased as many times as needed during the year.
Meal plans can be changed during the first two weeks of each semester and a usage report can be requested at any time by visiting the Clarkson Dining Services Office in Cheel Campus Center.
You may use your DB to treat a friend to a meal, but your Board and Block Meals are only for you to enjoy and are not transferrable.
KnightCard, Cash, MasterCard and Visa are accepted at all dining locations on campus.
