The organizing committee is sincerely appreciative of the number of undergraduate researchers that participated in the first annual SURE event. The undergraduate research and experiential projects are the types of activities that brings relevancy, attractiveness, and connectivity of science, mathematics, engineering, computer, business, and liberal arts education to the real world issues by providing excitement and intellectual enthusiasm. Helping develop SURE as seniors mean two things to us: on one hand we will never be here to see it grow in the years to come, on the other hand, we have left something behind us that will, we hope, always be there for future students to benefit from. We have both experienced what immense opportunities Clarkson University offers to students who want to grow academically beyond the regular curriculum. When we were asked to participate in making this first annual SURE come true, it seemed like the perfect chance to be part of creating something new and exciting for us and other students here at Clarkson. SURE is an opportunity for all students to present their work in public to peers, academics and outside guests, and we hope that all of you participating will get a great experience out of this day. It is really great to see that so many students signed up to particpate this first year and we hope that in a few years we will fill up the entire CAMP building with students!
