Movie Night and Ice Cream Social

This is a chance to meet up with other members of SWE and relax before dead week begins - watch a movie and enjoy some ice cream!
The movie has not been decided, so bring a movie with you if you want to watch it. We will be voting on a movie choice.

- a SWE movie night and ice cream social on Sunday, November 30th
- holiday ornament/cookie decorating with SPW
- events that we did this semester
- activities and plans for next semester
Anyone who is eligible for a SWE polo (7 or more active membership points) can sign up for one by bringing $20 (make checks payable to Clarkson Society of Women Engineers). If you're not sure if you're eligible yet, make sure to ask!
All SWE members will get 1 active membership points for attending this meeting.
If anyone has donations still from the Halloween Canned Food Drive, make sure to bring it to this meeting.
Seminar: Alumni Speakers

Two alumni, Kathryn Stockslader Hosford '74 (Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1st president of the Clarkson chapter of the Society of Women Engineers) and Gary Hosford '73 (Industrial Design [which became E&M], was president of Clarkson's ID society), are coming up to Potsdam from northern Virginia. Kathryn and Gary are speaking jointly with SWE and iE&M students on the night of Wed., Oct. 15 about their careers with the federal government--Kathryn just retired after 35 years with the Federal Communications Commission (radio frequency management), and Gary's career has been in contract management--as well as their experiences here at Clarkson.
