Business education at Clarkson has changed as our economy has changed. Today, Clarkson's programs embrace the broader multidimensional approach used in the most successful corporations and industries through four strong, innovative business majors.
e-Business
If you focus on e-Business, you'll be well suited for a career in Internet-based or communications-related business, traditional product/service companies utilizing electronic commerce, and consulting for companies in the virtual or actual marketplace. Supply Chain Management provides a strong foundation for careers in distribution/logistics, materials management, transportation management, and systems integration.
Financial Information and Analysis
Accounting-related and finance-related fields include financial management, investment management, financial services, corporate financial planning, management accounting, public accounting, and accounting information systems design.
Information Systems and Business Processes
Typical entry-level areas: database designer; network administrator; information analyst; application developer. Graduates often advance to management positions, consulting or marketing and project planning with information technology vendors.
Business and Technology Management
Every company needs effective business managers. Global corporations need managers with knowledge of international operations and sales. Manufacturing industries need floor managers with expertise in production and technology management. And this background is appropriate for you if you want to start your own business.
