Partners In Engineering Home

Partners In Engineering was a program, funded by the National Science Foundation, that brings together women science and engineering students and middle school girls to:

A mentor instructing PIE students about testing compression of pasta
PIE participants are instructed by their college student mentor as they test the compression strength of pasta.
  • Participate in mentoring and leadership activities
  • Gain knowledge through project-based learning
  • Participate in field trips and seminars
  • Increase problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Develop a greater understanding of engineers and the role of women in technology-related careers
