Dr. Robert Rogers
Dr. Rogers received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his MD degree from McGill University. He completed residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical Center and is board certified by the American College of Physicians. He has lectured on cardiovascular diseases at SUNY Potsdam and has been the physician member of seminars in medical ethics at Clarkson University.
His clinical background is in primary care internal medicine, with specialty interests in cardiology, echocardiography, and medical ethics. He also has more than 20 years of administrative experience in hospital quality and safety as the Medical Director at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Dr. Rogers lives in Potsdam and enjoys competitive running, cycling, and canoe racing.
Dr. Rogers believes that a health care professional must be both a dedicated student and an enthusiastic teacher. A strong foundation in the mechanisms of disease is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment, but the addition of clear explanation can provide the education and reassurance which lead to better outcomes.
