Patient care experience: Phlebotomist and family practice student internship

Why Clarkson? I chose Clarkson because of its class size and location. My class consists of 17 students so it is easy for me to get the personal attention from the Clarkson faculty when I need it. Clarkson is located in a rural area and in an area like Potsdam, the job opportunities for PAs are growing rapidly

Best part of PA school? Intense doesn’t even begin to describe it. I am continually challenged on a daily basis and have to learn so much in such little time. As difficult as it is, it has really given me something to be passionate about.

Advice to applicants: Having previous patient care experience is essential. Get as many hours as possible because it will benefit you in the long run. PA programs are competitive and one of the most important factors to your acceptance is the interview, so make sure you shine. Exceeding the minimum requirements is one of the best ways to stand out.
