Returning Students

Summary:
Clarkson University offers dial tone service to dorm rooms only upon request. The cost is $100 per room per semester. This service allows you to dial on-campus numbers without a charge and to dial off-campus numbers with a PIN or calling card.

Procedure:
If you are interested in dial tone service make your request when you fill out your on-line Housing Contract (accessed through PeopleSoft). This is the only method available to sign up for service next semester. The system defaults to "No" should you pass over this section.

April 16 Deadline:
You will have until April 16 to make any changes to your request. After the April 16th deadline, any new requests or changes must be made through the OIT HelpDesk and may be subject to an additional charge.

Roommates:
All roommates planning to use the phone service must complete this form. The cost will be divided evenly among the occupants in the room who have requested the service.

Cancellation:
If you request dial tone service to your dorm room, you will not be able to cancel the service for the Fall semester. If you choose to cancel the service for the Spring semester, please sign a request form at the HelpDesk prior to November 1. Hall phones are available on each floor of Brooks, Ross, Cubley, Reynolds, Farrisee, Newell, Ormsby, Thomas, Hamlin, Powers, Donahue, Olsen, Van Note, Wilson, Moore and Congdon.
