OIT satellites are decentralized OIT offices established across campus to provide faster responses to computing problems in academic buildings. Faculty, staff, and student concerns received at the HelpDesk regarding Clarkson computer labs, faculty or staff PCs, or non-central OIT services are distributed out to appropriate satellites for resolution, allowing for end user support, on site consulting and maintenance, and media services.

Occasionally during the process of troubleshooting a support request, it may be helpful for an OIT employee to be able to see and/or control your computer. In many cases an OIT employee will be able to use this tool to resolve your issue over the phone, without needing to dispatch a technician to your location.
