Applications
Moodle is the official University learning management system. It is used to provide electronic resources, activities and discussion/collaboration spaces for University courses.
Two versions of PeopleSoft have been implemented to manage student and financial data. PeopleSoft 7.5 Financials software allows faculty and staff to create purchase requisitions and monitor budgets (nVision). PeopleSoft 7.5 must be installed on your computer and an account must be approved and created for you. PeopleSoft 8.9 is a web-based application used to manage student records and grades. Students are automatically set up in the system upon acceptance
Windows Active Directory (AD) accounts are used by Clarkson faculty, staff and students to access network file servers (S:, U:, P: and other drives) and network printing. It is a necessary part of the report features in the PeopleSoft Financials 7.5 software used by faculty and staff.
Andrew File System accounts provide access to the University AFS cluster. AFS is used as a Linux file space and as a repository for web content. You will need a secure shell client (PuTTY) in order to utilize your AFS space. AFS uses your Active Directory username and password.
