Enrolling a Student
Student enrollments are updated nightly based on the enrollment data present in PeopleSoft. If a student is not enrolled in Blackboard within 24-hours of adding a class, please contact the OIT HelpDesk at helpdesk@clarkson.edu or x4357.
The Peoplesoft/Blackboard synchronization process is "add-only." The process will never un-enroll a student from a Blackboard course. The decision to process enrollment updates in this manner was made in an effort to prevent a student from being accidentally removed from a course resulting in the loss of their course work.
A side-effect of this is that students may remain enrolled in a Blackboard course even after they have dropped. Or alternatively, in the case of a change in section, the student will appear in the new section while not being removed from the old section.
If you have a student that you need removed from a Blackboard course that you are teaching, please contact the HelpDesk with the course number and the student's name.
