College Students in Classrooms

College students trained in basic pedagogical approaches and development of project-based educational units can work in partnership with you in your middle- or high-school- classrooms in the Potsdam/St. Lawrence county region.  Current project-based units include: 

  • Solid waste reuse as aggregate in concrete (8th grade science, technology)
  • Vermicomposting to transform biodegradable waste into soil (7th grade science, technology)
  • The Hydrogen Economy (AP Environmental Science)
  • Alternative energy opportunities  (8th grade science, technology)
  • Placement of cell phone towers (Regents Physics)
  • River water quality (8th grade science)
